Architectural Aluminium Sun Shades – For Your Architectural Project

Alumitec have come up with a range of options for Aluminium Sun Shades on your next architectural project. The 2 most common products in the aluminium sun shade range are:

• Alumi-Slat – using of 60x16mm aluminium slats which can be either horizontal or vertical. Alumi-Slats come standard with a 9mm space so when installed horizontally it is not deemed as a climbable member meaning they can be used for pools and balconies edges.
• Alumi-Louvre – with a 60mm aerofoil louvre blade, Alumi-Louvre is ideal when privacy is required from 1 specific direction. The louvres can be set pointing either way to either utilise the winter sun or provide full sun blockouts.
• Alumi-Grid – 50x10 slat blades with 12mm rod through the blades to create a grid effect.

• Sliding Sun Screens – hung off top rollers these movable sun screens can be installed to balcony edges or outside of windows.
• Sun Hoods – generally mounted horizontally above windows. Sunblock Hoods – have the louvres pointing down and away from the building which blocks out the sun. Sunlight hoods have the louvres pointing up and way from the building which permits winter sun (when north facing) and blocks out overhead summer sun. These sunhoods are self supporting without a brace up to 800 deep cantilvered off the wall.
• Window Screens – mounted on the outside of windows these Sun Screens provide privacy, security and sun control.
